Victory over the darkness

The following symbols are a reminder of God's desires and ability to have victory over the darkness in our lives! He is the Resurrection and the Life! He is the Overcomer! And He is the Overcomer in and through us as we trust in Him and believe in and stand on His promises! The rainbow reminds us of God's promises and His ability to bring them to pass after the worst storm and catastrophe in history. The light bulb represents the Light of the World and how even a tiny match brings light to a whole black room - though darkness cannot penetrate the light! His Light can SUDDENLY change a totally dark situation into one of light and warmth and growth! The middle figure with the person coming to life in the coffin symbolizes the Scriptural theme that God loves to raise to life situations and people that have been dead…ie. Lazaras was dead for 3 or 4 days before Jesus raised him to life! - that was about as dead as you can get! We see this theme of Christ bringing Life into dead-looking situations over and over! May it encourage us that He longs to do this for us, too, and IS ABLE!
The other figures symbolize Joshua and Caleb 'spying out the land' of Canaan and coming back with a GOOD REPORT and confidence in the Lord's ability to have victory over the cities there EVEN THOUGH many with them came back with BAD REPORTS about the supposed 'giants in the land' which they perceived due to fears and the lies of the enemy to try to discourage them from entering the land God had PROMISED them! Let us not get discouraged but be STRONG AND COURAGEOUS in our own lives as well as we continue to trust the Lord to DO THE IMPOSSIBLE and have victory over the darkness in our lives, families, churches and in the land/s, etc. as we TRUST IN HIM and keep taking steps to cooperate with Him to be Overcomers with Him!
